About WebTestrunner
WebTestrunner is a scheduled website testing service: you verify you own a site, configure multi-step browser checks (Playwright), and WebTestrunner runs them automatically on daily, weekly, or hourly plans.
Why we built it
Production websites break in ways a simple uptime ping never sees: a login form that stops submitting, a checkout button that vanishes, a redirect that lands on the wrong page. Those failures are real user journeys—and they need a real browser.
WebTestrunner runs multi-step Playwright checks on a schedule against sites you prove you control. You configure the workflow once; we open headless Chromium, execute your steps, and record pass/fail results with screenshots when something goes wrong.
Who it is for
- Solo founders and small teams who want production confidence without standing up CI cron jobs and runner infrastructure
- Agencies and freelancers who need recurring checks on client sites they are authorized to monitor
- Product and ops teams who already know Playwright and want the same step model—goto, click, fill, assert—on a calendar instead of only in a deploy pipeline
Ownership first
We do not scan arbitrary URLs. Every website in your dashboard must be verified with a file, meta tag, or DNS TXT record before any browser test can run. That keeps the service focused on sites you own or are authorized to test, and keeps abuse off the platform.
See the verification guide for step by step instructions.
Plans at a glance
- Free — 1 test, 1 step (URL visit), weekly cadence on one verified website
- Paid plans — more tests, full step types (click, fill, assertions), and daily or hourly schedules. See prices.
What WebTestrunner is not
- Not load testing or stress testing
- Not a security scanner or vulnerability assessment tool
- Not a full replacement for CI end-to-end suites—it complements them with scheduled production checks
